TEHRAN, May 1, YJC - In April, the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) trading volume reached 1,670 thousand tonnes worth over $941 million in spot and side markets, 162,578 gold coin futures contracts worth more than $688 million as well as 2,479 gold coins options contracts.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - According to the report from IME International Affairs and PR, 1,670 thousand tonnes of different commodities were traded in domestic and export trading floors including 1,090 KT of various commodities worth more than $495 million in oil and petrochemical trading floor, 441 thousand tonnes of different products worth approximately $363 million in metals and minerals trading floor, and approximately 164 thousand tonnes of agricultural products worth $82 million in agricultural trading floor in the spot market.
Moreover, this month, the export trading floor witnessed trading of 290,905 MT of bitumen worth more than $73 million, 1,377 MT of insulation worth more than $542 thousand, 2,000 MT of VB Feed stock worth approximately $389,976 as well as 10,000 MT of sulfur worth over $450 thousand.
In addition, IME experienced trading of 4,581 MT of products worth $850 thousand in its side market during the same month.
It is worth noting, the derivatives market played host to the trading of 162,578 gold coin futures contracts worth over $688 million as well as 2,479 options contracts worth more than $22,585.
