TEHRAN, July 15, YJC - The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) traded 572,768 tons various commodities worth over $333.8 million in spot and side markets in the second week of July.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - According to the report from IME International Affairs and PR, on the domestic and export metal and mineral trading floor of IME, 191,033 MT of various products worth close to $165.4 million were traded.
On this trading floor, 178,488 MT of steel products, 5,125 MT of copper, 5,160 MT of aluminum, 140 MT of molybdenum concentrates, 120 MT of zinc ingot as well as 3 kg gold bullion were traded.
The report declares that on domestic and export oil and petrochemical trading floors of IME, 293,201 MT of different commodities with the total value of $139 million were traded.
On this trading floor, more than 104,427 MT of bitumen, 61,343 MT of polymer products, 73,860 MT of VB feed stock as well as 13,000 MT of lube-cut oil, 25,912 MT of chemical products, 12,630 MT of sulfur, 1,978 MT of slack waxes and 50 MT of argon were traded.
Moreover, on the agricultural trading floor of IME, 86,605 MT of various commodities worth over $28.9 million were traded. On this trading floor, 44,860 MT of feed barley, 30,250 MT of wheat, 10,575 MT of sugar, 800 MT of maize, 100 MT of crude vegetable oil and 20,000 day old chicks were traded by customers.
It is worth noting that during the second week of July the side market of IME witnessed trading of 1,915 MT of scrap metal and phosphate concentrate as well as 12,000 day old chicks.
