TEHRAN, July 29, YJC - Approximately 435,440 MT of commodities worth over $206.4 million were traded in Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) over the last week of July.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - According to the report from IME International Affairs and PR, on the domestic and export metal and mineral trading floor of IME, 57,068 MT of various products worth close to $45 million were traded.
On this trading floor, 51,827 MT of steel products, 5,095 MT of copper, 140 MT of molybdenum concentrates as well as 6 MT of precious metal concentrates were traded.
The report declares that on domestic and export oil and petrochemical trading floors of IME, 337,627 MT of different commodities with the total value of $144.3 million were traded.
On this trading floor, more than 114,364 MT of bitumen, 55,964 MT of polymer products, 107,320 MT of VB feed stock as well as 17,750 MT of lube-cut oil, 25,739 MT of chemical products, 14,960 MT of sulfur, 1,150 MT of slack waxes, 740 MT of insulation and 30 MT of argon were traded.
Moreover, on the agricultural trading floor of IME, 37,522 MT of various commodities worth over $16.5 million were traded. On this trading floor, 9,632 MT of feed barley, 18,204 MT of wheat, 6,600 MT of sugar, 1,570 MT of maize and 1,485 MT of frozen chicken as well as 30,000 day oil chicks were traded by customers.
It is worth noting that during the last week of July the side market of IME witnessed trading of 446 MT of scrap metal, 2 MT empty barrels, 50 MT of used engine oil, 100 MT of raw milk, 2,425 MT of phosphate concentrate and 200 MT of sulfate.
