Iran, Kazakhstan sign cooperation agreements

Iran and Kazakhstan signed 5 Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) as Iranian President Hassan Rouhani is in Astana on the second leg of his Central Asian tour.
Iran, Kazakhstan sign cooperation agreementsThe deals were inked in presence of Rouhani and his Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbaev.

The agreements include cooperation in animal quarantine, shipping in Caspian Sea, bilateral tourism, central banks and labor and social security in line with boosting bilateral relations.

Earlier this month, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Ebrahim Rahimpour underlined that his country is resolved to expand mutual cooperation with the Central Asia countries.

"Bolstering ties with friendly countries in Central Asia tops Iran's foreign policy," Rahimpour told reporters after his meetings with Kyrgyz officials in Bishkek.

He, meantime, underlined the need for enhancing bilateral relations with Kyrgyzstan and other Central Asian states.
