Tuesday, 04 August 2020_ Speaker of the Parliament of Iran hinted that the Iranian Parliament is determined to create Parliamentary Friendship Group with Turkey soon.
In his telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart, Speaker of the Parliament of Iran, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf announced the preparation of preliminaries for setting up Iran-Turkey Parliamentary Friendship Group in the Iranian Parliament and highlighted: “we are determined to created Parliamentary Friendship Group with Turkey as soon as possible.”
In the telephone talk, Turkish Parliament Speaker Mustafa Şentop congratulated Eid al-Adha and expressed his hope to Ghalibaf that “may soon the world faces the removal of the coronavirus pandemic.”
Iran and Turkey have shown their collaboration during the pandemic and the health ministers of the two countries are in close touch to share their experience in this field, he noted.
Moreover, Turkish Parliament Speaker, refered to the need of developing close ties between Iran and Turkey and said: “the two countries share cultural commonalities, and this highlights our need to develop and enhance the relations at high levels.”
Referring to the US sanctions toward Iran, Mustafa Şentop added: “we are watchful of the US expansion of the sanction and the cruelty of that against some countries Islamic Republic of Iran during the coronavirus global pandemic. Turkey is totally against these sanctions and expressed it in international communities.”
Iranian Parliament Speaker, congratulated Eid al-Adha. for his part and noted: “ following the establishment of Iran-Turkey Parliamentary Friendship Group, parliamentary coopration between the two countries would be enhanced and expanded.”
