Tehran, YJC. The Oil Ministry has chosen Mohammad Hossein Adeli as Iran’s proposed choice to be elected Secretary General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum.

Minister has chosen Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Adeli as Iran’s representative to
the Gas Exporting Countries Forum Secretary General election, Mehr News Agency reports.
Bijan
Zanganeh said "The 15th session of the GECF ministers in Tehran will
be an ordinary session following the regular bureaucratic course. But the most
important item on the agenda will be to elect the Secretary General for the
next two years.”
The Oil
Minister added that Libya and Russia will also introduce their representatives
to compete in the election.
Mohammad
Hossein Adeli is a member of the Science-based Economy and Investment Council
of the Islamic Azad University. He was the president of the Central Bank of Iran
from 1989 to 1994, as well as Iran’s ambassador to the United Kingdom from 2004
to 2005. He has also acted as Iran’s ambassador to Japan and Canada and Economic
Deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
