TEHRAN, May 13 - Austria is 100 percent complying with Iran nuclear deal also known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Austrian Envoy to Iran said.

TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) – Stefan Scholz made the remarks in an interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on the sidelines of his meeting with Rasht governor general.

It is an honor for the Austrian government to host nuclear talks, he said.

Austria has invested a lot on nuclear negotiations, he said, adding, 'We are sure these investments is regarded as Austria's share in creating stability and peace in the Middle East.

Commenting on the US unilateral quitting the nuclear deal, Scholz said, 'The Austrian Foreign Ministry expresses deep regret.'

'JCPOA is an arms control measure that works. Need to analyze President Trump's decision. All sides should refrain from steps that could further destabilize the Middle East,” Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl earlier wrote on her Twitter account on Tuesday.

US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that Washington would pull out of Iran nuclear deal and reinstate nuclear sanctions on Iran.

This is while most world powers, including Russia, China, and the European Union have repeatedly stressed that keeping the deal is in the interest of world peace and security.
