TEHRAN, August 8, YJC - Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali-Akbar Salehi warned that in case of any violation of the nuclear deal by the US, all options will be on the table.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “It seems unlikely that the US breaches the nuclear deal, because it then will the US defeated. All options will be on the table if the US violates the nuclear deal,” he said in an interview with Arabic al-Mayadeen TV channel.
He also said that Iran would take counter-measures towards US moves. “We will not make tough decisions against the US in case it does not breach the nuclear deal,” he added.
Salehi noted that US withdrawal of the nuclear deal would not affect its duration, since the deal has been approved by the EU, China, Russia and other world countries.
The Iranian nuclear official said that the IAEA has confirmed 7 times that Iran has complied with its commitments, therefore, there is no excuse to violate the deal.
Calling the deal, ‘historic’, Salehi said that the effects of the agreement would be shown in time.
