TEHRAN, May 11, YJC - The Industrial Development & Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO Group) Managing Director Mansour Moazemi said the country’s auto industry financial turnover reaches $26 billion.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - $16 billion of this figure belongs to local auto manufacturing, $6 billion to local and foreign car parts and $4 billion to importing car parts, he said in a press conference with Brazilian car spare producers in Tehran.
Iran manufactured 1.400 million sedans over the last Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2016-March 20, 2017), and the figure is expected to hit 1.600 million sedans this year based on planning, he said.
Iran’s neighbors are a good auto market, "We are thinking about providing a more desirable market through cooperation with auto activists and brand owners.”
He added that Brazilian auto manufacturing and spare part production is very good industry, and continued that there have been good opportunities for cooperation with foreign companies following talks with P5+1.
He noted that Iran with 80 million population and young population has formed a satisfactory market for auto industry.
