CEO of Iranian largest public-run auto-manufacturer (IKCO) Hashem Yekeh-Zareh said that the corporation is going to sign a deal with an Italian-German auto-designer company by next month.
"The agreement will be signed for production of home-made platform as well as car parts, including engine, gearbox and axle.
The agreement includes complete chain of platform production, transfer of its know-how to Iran and indigenizing the product inside Iran, he said, adding this is the most important deal for production of home-made platform throughout history of Iranian auto industry.
Yekeh-Zareh added that Iran should rank 5th in Asia in terms of auto-manufacturing by 2026.
