Tehran, YJC. A member of the Reform Front has said that in case Kavakebian does not abide to the Reformists’ coalition he will no longer represent their front.
Mohammad Javad Haqshenas
provided comments on the Reform Front’s 3-stage agenda for presidential campaign
and said "In the first stage the Front has invited and supported Seyyed
Mohammad Khatami.”
He also said in an interview that in the
second stage "If Reformists do not reach consensus, the Reform Front’s special
candidate would be Mostafa Kavakebian.”
Regarding the third stage, Haqshenas
said "It is expected that either Khatami or Hashemi would run for presidency. In
case Khatami does not, it is highly probable that the Reform coalition,
consisting of the Coordination Council and the Reform Front, would support
Hashemi. In such circumstances it is unlikely that Kavakebian would continue
his campaign.”
"If Kavakebian does not abide
to Reformists’ coalition he will no longer represent the Front,” he asserted.
