Tehran, YCJ. Habibollah Asgar Oladi has said that as long as candidates are not popular, they cannot rely on their legitimacy.

President of the Followers of Imam and Leadership Front said "Presidential candidates must keep in mind that maybe they are legitimate, but they must also be popular. Maybe some of them will not get votes as much as half a percent. If they do not attract votes they must not claim fraudulence.”

Speaking in the conference of directors of the Islamic Coalition Party, Asgar Oladi said "Sedition and deviance are signs of the wicked. Sedition is overt but deviance is covert and not anyone can discern it.”

He added "The fact that somebody in Iran marks the Islamic Awakening with Iranianism will make the Arab talk of Arabism and thus disintegration will happen in Islam.”

Asgar Oladi also expressed negative views on the multiplicity of Principalist candidates and said "The enemy would rather the elections turn into civil war instead of national celebrations. The candidates must not count on their legitimacy as long as they are not popular.”
