TEHRAN, April 28, YJC - Iran’s minerals exports reached $7 billion over the last Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2016- March 20, 2017).
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Iranian steel-making companies sent over 6.6 million tons of their products to target markets during the mentioned period, said Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation (IMIDRO) in a report.
Iran exported 57.648.164 million tons of mineral products, including steel, copper, aluminum, cement, lead, zinc, precious metals and stones, coal and coke chromium, molybdenum, titanium, mica, nickel, antimony and stones over the above-said period.
Iran’s minerals exports rose by 38 and 17 percent respectively in terms of weight and value comparing to similar period in the year before.
The amount included respectively 44 percent and 16 percent of Iran’s total foreign trading in terms of weight and value.
Steel and down-stream industries with $2.699 billion share stood at top of this list.
Iran exported 6.6 million tons of steel over the period which has been unprecedented in the history of Iran’s exports.
