TEHRAN, April 5, YJC - Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov discussed regional matters including Syria.

Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The two sides also stressed pursuit of recent agreements made between Tehran and Moscow during Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s recent visit to Russia.
Zarif also extended condolences over the blasts in St. Petersburg Metro which claimed lives of 50 people.
Earlier on March 29, Iranian
President Hassan Rouhani and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in a
meeting in Moscow issued a joint statement to broaden mutual cooperation in
various fields.
The 16-page joint statement themed
'Moving forward to Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation' covers vast areas of
cooperation.
President Rouhani, heading a
high-ranking politico-economic delegation, arrived in Moscow late March for a
two-day visit upon an invitation by his Russian counterpart to hold talks on
bilateral ties and sign a total of 15 cooperation pacts.
