Iranian and American experts teams are going to meet in Vienna one day ahead of joint commission meeting between Iran and P5+1.

The 6th commission meeting of Iran and the six countries’ deputy foreign ministers is schedule for January 10 to explore issues mentioned in Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif’s letter to the EU Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini following extension of anti-Iran sanctions by the US Congress.
The experts’ meeting reports would be submitted to deputy foreign ministers.
On December 16, Zarif sent an official letter to Mogherini, calling for JCPOA joint commission meeting to discuss the recent US move.
Zarif in his letter reiterated Iran’s complete compliance to its commitments based on the JCPOA and referred to commitments of the other side as mentioned in the JCPOA.
Zarif also said that protecting solidarity and durability of the JCPOA needs attention of all sides to continue implementing articles stipulated in the document.
