Tehran, YJC. The French lawyer who has taken on Iran’s suite against Argo has said she will bring the Argo crew to court.
In a meeting at the office of
Iran’s Minister of Culture, Isabelle Coutant-Peyre, the French lawyer with Roger
Garaudy’s case in her profile, and
Hojjatoleslam Masourpour, Deputy Director of the Legal Affairs of the Majlis
and Provinces of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, discussed Iran’s
litigation against Argo.
Coutant-Peyre said in the meeting "The fee for pursuing this case must
not exceed the production cost for Argo. Argo cost 4 thousand and 400 million
dollars. It was necessary that the issue be regarded from different viewpoints.”
She added "Iran is for me a symbol and I am happy to accompany Iran in
this path and be a part of this global trend which has just begun.”
She had earlier said that the Zionist are making effort to widely distribute the movie in France.
Monday evening Coutant-Peyre was also guest to the Ministry of Culture at Felestin Cinema where a conference was held on Hollywood representations of Iran.
