Saturday, 08 August 2020 (YJC)_ Iran’s Red Crescent Society (IRCS) delivered 15 tons of food to Lebanon’s Red Cross to share it out among those affected by a catastrophic blast in Beirut.
On his remarks on Saturday, the deputy head of IRCS, Mohammad-Baqer Mohammadi, mentioned Iran’s Red Crescent Society dedicated 15 tons of food to blast-stricken civilians in Beirut through Lebanon’s Red Cross.
Moreover, he highlighted that on Friday his organization has sent a group of experts to Beirut to evaluate and examine the degree of the damage to the city.
The IRCS has also sent “1,300 720hour food package, 265 one-month food packages, two 50kw electric motors, and 200 body bags weighing approximately 13 tons to Lebanon” he added.
Last Tuesday, a catastrophic explosion killed dozens of people and injured more than 5,000 others in the port of Beirut.
