Saturday, 08 August 2020 (YJC)_ Iranian Parliament Speaker's Special Advisor for International Affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, criticized French President Emanuel Marcon’s recent meddlesome statements in Beirut and requested him not to intervene and avoid rubbing salt in the wounds of the Lebanese people.
On his Twutter account on Saturday, Iranian Parliament Speaker's Special Advisor, Amir-Abdollahian, wrote: “President Emmanuel Macron’s counselling in Lebanon won’t heal the wound of the Beirut blast”
“lebenon has stood firmly against Israel with united ethnicities, faiths and movements, and it can maintain its national unity” he noted.
“what Lebanon needs is assistance and unity not the intervention of a foreign party” Abdollahian added.
On Thursday, Emmanuel Macron made the visit to Beirut on after an explosion killed dozens of people and injured more than 5,000 others.
During his visit, the French president sked for an international inquiry into the catastrophic blast.
