TEHRAN, Apr 22 - Footage filmed in the Sudan capital Khartoum on Saturday, April 21, shows artists painting graffiti on a wall near the army's headquarters following the toppling of the country's leader, Omar al-Bashir.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) -Artists had been facing censure of more than 30 years during the rule of Bashir but now they have finally found a way to express themselves with art despite the period of political turmoil.
According to one of the organizers, the initiative "has the aim of recreating ideas during the uprising and reproduce the slogans, dreams and ideologies that emerged."
A military coup removed Bashir on April 11 following weeks of protests and now the country is ruled by a transitional council led by General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan.
