They won’t get ANYTHING done for our Country!” he tweeted on Tuesday.

Trump added that Democrats are accelerating their investigations “now that they realize the only Collusion with Russia was done by Crooked Hillary Clinton & the Democrats.”

On Monday, US House Democrats served document requests on 81 government agencies, entities and individuals with ties to President Trump.

Among those receiving letters from the House Judiciary Committee include the president's two eldest sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, his son-in-law Jared Kushner, his former personal secretary Rhona Graff, Allen Weisselberg, the chief financial officer of the Trump Organization, former US Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and former top White House aides Hope Hicks, Sean Spicer and Stephen K. Bannon.

Document requests are also sent to institutions including the White House, Justice Department, Trump campaign, Trump transition team and Trump Organization.

"We have seen the damage done to our democratic institutions in the two years that the Congress refused to conduct responsible oversight. Congress must provide a check on abuses of power," Nadler said in a statement.

The House panel is probing whether Trump may have obstructed justice by firing perceived enemies at the Justice Department like former FBI Director James Comey, and abused his presidential power by offering pardons.

Comey was fired by Trump in May 2017 when he was leading an investigation into Russia activities in the 2016 US presidential election and possible collusion with Trump’s campaign.

That investigation was subsequently taken over by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is expected to present his findings to the US attorney general within weeks.
