Iran Navy Fleet at Zhanjiang

TEHRAN, YJC. Iran Navy Commander has said that the 24th fleet has docked at Zhanjiang, China.

Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said Monday that Iran’s 24th fleet consisting of the helicopter carrier Khark and the destroyer Sabalan which has left the country on January 24 has passed the Malacca Strait and docked at Zhanjiang, China.

Sayyari said "The Fleet will leave Zhanjiang for Colombo, Sri Lanka.”

While at Malacca strait, the fleet had met a US destroyer which had asked permission for approach in order to have a clearer inspection due to impaired sight by whether condition.
