Tehran, YJC. Afkham has said that the anti-US billboards were illegally set up in the city.
Speaking
in her weekly news conference, the Spokeswoman of the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs Marzieh Afkham pointed to Saudi statements about the Iran-US negotiations
and their criticism of US officials and said "If media think so, it must be
pointed out that not all changes mean that cooperation with other countries do
change as well. How countries change their approach to third countries is also
something that has to do with themselves.”
She
also provided comments on the recollection of anti-US billboards from the
streets of Tehran and said "Before the Foreign Ministry would try to do
something, the Municipality and other organizations realized that something illegal
and unchecked had been done.”
In answer
to ABC reporter asking if Rouhani will accept a meeting invitation by Obama,
Afkham said "What is the case in the historic change in Iran-US relations must find
some preliminary reverberation in the Iran-5+1 negotiations. That would be a
framework within which future decisions can be made.”
