TEHRAN, January 26 - The 11th Tourism and Related Industries International exhibition was opened in Tehran on Friday.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The expo aims at introducing customs and tradition of different Iranian ethnics.
There are over 1 million tourist natural and tourist attractions and 34.000 national sites across Iran providing the ground for flow of foreign tourists to the country.
The expo includes local food, beverage, souvenir and clothes of various cities in Iran.
Iran is going to increase the number of foreign tourists to 20 million people by next 8 years.
Deputy Head of Iranian Cultural Heritage Organization for Investment and Planning Saeed Ohadi said, Iran’s tourism industry’s effect on GDP reaches 3.3 percent which is expected to grow by 7.7 percent.
Extensive tourism capacity in Iranian provinces has created many grounds for job opportunities and attracting tourists.
