TEHRAN, October 30 - A member of German Mahle Group’s board of directors said cooperation between the group and Iran Khodro is expanding further, adding one of the main joint projects between the two sides is to produce new three-cylinder propulsions with significant fuel efficiency.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Martin Burger who was attending in the Early Supplier Involvement (ESI) for IKCO’s new platform said ”since raising the standard level of propulsions and taking steps towards hybrid cars manufacturing are costly projects, we have decided to begin our work with simple targets.”
He said Mahle Group has great experience in CNG production and added the company has been involved in designing and producing propulsions for a long time. “We are now working on new platforms for Iran Khodro and given the available capacities, we are sure that the multi-national cooperation will pay off.”
Burger also said hybrid and automatic cars will have the upper hand in the auto industry by 2030 and added “so we need to adopt some appropriate technologies which decrease the use of internal combustion propulsions by 2030.”
