TEHRAN, October 18 - Iranian researchers at Shiraz Medical Science University have developed an anti-AIDS herbal medicine with clinical results on patients showed that their HIV virus has disappeared from their blood 6 months after they started using the drug.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Ahmad Hossein-Pour, the lead author of the study, said the study has been done to investigate anti-AIDS effects of the drug to people suffering the disease.
The drug is a combination of 10 herbal medicines produced in nano-size form.
The survey was conducted on 5 people with AIDS who did not use any other medicine during period of the study.
The study showed that the virus disappeared from their blood 6 months after using the drug, he said, adding the patients are now in good physical conditions 4 months after they stopped using the medicine.
The medicine also improved immunity system of the people without any side effects, the researcher noted.
