TEHRAN, October 14 - Approximately 545,348 MT of commodities worth over $301.6 million were traded on Iran Mercantile Exchange (ME) over the second week of October.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - According to the report from IME International Affairs and PR, last week, on the domestic and export metal and mineral trading floor of IME, 134,265 MT of various products worth close to $115.4 million were traded.
On this trading floor, 125,913 MT of steel products, 2,500 MT of aluminum, 12,000 MT of precious metals concentrates, 5,640 MT of copper, 140 MT of molybdenum concentrates, 60 MT of zinc and 10 kg of gold bullion were traded.
The report declares that on domestic and export oil and petrochemical trading floors of IME, 345,274 MT of different commodities with the total value of $164 million were traded.
On this trading floor, more than 128,418 MT of bitumen, 62,977 MT of polymer products, 96,000 MT of VB feed stock as well as 20,000 MT of lube-cut oil, 20,875 MT of chemical products, 12,960 MT of sulfur, 850 MT of base oil and slack waxes, 1,000 MT of slaps waxes and 2,238 MT of insulation were traded.
Moreover, on the agricultural trading floor of IME, 64,225 MT of various commodities worth over $21.7 million were traded. On this trading floor, 51,750 MT of wheat, 10,250 MT of sugar, 225 MT of feed barley as well as 2,000 MT of meals were traded by customers.
It is worth noting that during the last week of September, the side market of IME witnessed trading of 775 MT of phosphate concentrate, 414 MT of metal scrap, 350 MT of iron waste, 25 MT of used locomotive engine oil, as well as 20 MT of polymeric methylene diphenyl diisocyanate.
