TEHRAN, September 2 - Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) traded 2,638 thousand tons of various commodities worth over $1,228 million in spot and side markets, 169,720 gold coin futures contracts worth more than $701 million as well as 3,317 gold coins options contracts in August.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - 2,638 thousand tons of different commodities were traded in domestic and export trading floors including 1,596 thousand tons of various commodities worth more than $690 million in oil and petrochemical trading floor, 800 thousand tons of different products worth approximately $451 million in metals and minerals trading floor, and approximately 226 thousand tons of agricultural products worth $79 million in agricultural trading floor in the spot market.
Moreover, this month, the export trading floor witnessed trading of 409,228 MT of bitumen worth more than $104 million, 275 thousand tons of Iron ore worth more than $9 million, 5,719 MT of insulation worth more than $2.6 million, 5,096 MT of sulfur worth over $339 thousand as well as 250 MT of agricultural commodities worth more than $123 thousand.
In addition, IME experienced trading of 14,806 MT of products worth $6.7 million in its side market during the same month.
It is worth noting, the derivatives market played host to the trading of 169,720 gold coin futures contracts worth over $701 million as well as 3,317 options contracts worth more than $7 thousand.
