TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) struck back against the Al-Qaeda linked Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham rebel faction in northern Hama, Friday, inflicting heavy damage on the jihadist group’s defenses near the town of Abu Dali.
According to a military source in Hama, the Syrian Army shelled Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s positions for several hours on Friday, killing at least seven militants in the process.
The source added that three of the seven militants killed near Abu Dali were HTS fighters from the town of Qudsiyah in the Damascus Governorate.Qudsiyah was handed over to the Syrian government last year after the Syrian Arab Army launched a big assault to capture the Damascene suburbs from the Islamist rebels.
