TEHRAN, October 10 - Iranian researchers have developed a smart label, using nano-polymers, which can be used to prevent goods smuggling and identify original products.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Ali Mohammadi, the lead author of the study, said the researchers have managed to produce a nano-composite with special properties which are categorized as smart material and can be used for special purposes.
The polymers have been used for producing security labels of goods originality, he said, adding, logos and emblems are hidden in the label, not seen by the user, but then it is shown using a trigger factor including lighter heat.
Highlighting the label using a trigger factor could show originality of the good, Mohammadi said.
The label can be installed on imported goods in customs to prevent goods smuggling, the researcher continued.
