TEHRAN, August 26 - Iran FM spokesman: US has imprisoned a number of Iranians with absurd reasoning, who were involved in trade related activities.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Iran’s Ministry of Foreign affairs Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi said in correlation with US’ new travel warning to Iran “The previous routine will continue where decisions were referenced to the special committee.”
He added “After all every country has its own standards for visa provision and just like the US, Iran also has its own specified routine for granting visas, with no exceptions. We have our own rules towards other countries especially America and take actions based on those, for basically any act must take place based on mutual performance.”
He also said in relation with Iranian detainees in the US “A number of Iranians are imprisoned in the US whom we are concerned about given their distressed situation; we will do what we can to help these fellow Iranians.
Stating the absurd reasoning behind the arresting of the Iranians for involvement in trade related activities he added “America should stop monitoring Iranian citizens in other countries and put an end to this policy.”
Ghasemi told reporters that in alignment with humanitarian rights the issue of the Iranian prisoners in US had been stated in JCPOA joint commission and is being followed up, “I hope this issue gets resolved as soon as possible.”
