Tehran, YJC. Chief of Police says the GC was vigilant to qualify based on abilities not expediency.

Police reports that Brigadier General Esmail Ahmadi Moqaddam said on Saturday "Some people intended to introduce people on the electoral scene who would not have been qualified, where they could raise up side issues if their qualification was not granted.”

He added "We must not forget the fact that the sanctions began at the time of some of these guys. Its first one was during the Clinton administration. At that time these guys were paragons of compromise and before foreign countries they tried to imply by propaganda that if these guys rise to power dollar will get cheaper and all problems would be solved for the nation.”

He added "They are looking forward to seeing that Iran does not lead the Islamic awakening in the world and in the meantime show a compromising face and like regional countries be a pet in the hands of foreign enemies although Westerns met with failure in their scheme.”

"Employees of the Police must follow the electoral affairs as citizens and Muslims, they must encourage their families and folks so that once again we see a political breakthrough by the great Iranian nation,” he said.
