Tehran, YJC. The cleric says that the current lead by the disqualified governmental candidate would like to hand over the Revolution to the US.
Jafar Shojouni said in an interview with Zendegi "We sweated blood to drive the Shah out of the country and launch the Islamic system. The goal and ideal of the Islamic system will be crystallized by Islamism, not if we disregard Islam and focus on Iranism alone.”
Shojouni blasted Ahmadinejad’s outward support for Mashaei even after the latter one was declared unqualified, adding "As the administrator of the elections, the government’s first and foremost duty is disinterestedness, but Ahmadinejad has violated this duty by supporting Mashaei, to whom all the country is opposed.”
Esfandyar Rahim Mashaei is Ahmadinejad's Chief of Staff. He signed up for the upcoming elections but was considered unqualified by the Guardian Council.
