TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Zarif is going to discuss extensive banking cooperation between Iran and Germany with German Minister of Finance Wolfgang Schäuble.
Zarif said he plans to discuss regional developments as well as Iran-Europe cooperation to advance regional stability and battle against terrorism and extremism during his visit to Germany.
“Large German companies are quite eager to have presence in Iranian market and make investment,” he said upon his arrival in Berlin.
“We will witness start of German activities in Iran in coming days,” he said referring to German willing to join Iranian market.
“We are now enjoying good banking ties with Europe and Germany. However, we need large European banks to interact with Iran. European states should assure the banks that they will protect them despite US current efforts,” he noted.
