Tehran, YJC. Hojjatoleslam Mehdi Taeb, head of the Ammar Base says that negotiations with the US are tantamount to following on the footsteps of Satan, which God has forbidden.
Taeb said "God says do not follow the
steps of Satan, that is to say do not hold talks with the US. Therefore, if the
opposite
side says there are benefits in the talks, the side which prevents us
from negotiations wants us not to gain benefits.”
He added "Today lots of individuals propose talks with the US. But when we want to negotiate, if we know of their intentions it can be useful, but if you do not know what they are planning against you, you are set up. The Quran makes up for our ignorance, saying that the atheist hunt for one moment of negligence. Therefore if you let this not out of your ear, you can become like the Supreme Leader who said ‘We discern an Iron fist under the velvet glove.’”
Hojjatoleslam Taeb added "The situation in countries where the Islamic awakening has happened is not reversible; arrogance has lost the control and tries to stir chaos. This chaos will take over the US, so the world will fall apart and the one who must be responsible is the Islamic Republic. But the Islamic republic cannot carry the burden of the world if it imports wheat.”
He also stated that economic breakthrough follows political breakthrough and said "The enemy does not like the political breakthrough to happen.”
Taeb also expressed grief over Ahmadinejad’s diminishing popularity.
