Tehran, YJC. Ahmad Nejabat, Principalist activist, says that Hashemi’s time is over, but that he is famous for his last-moment moves.
A member of the Society of Islamic Revolution Veterans Central
Council pointed to conjectures regarding Hashemi’s presidency at the age of 80
and said "Although Hashemi Rafsanjani’s son has said that Hashemi will not for
presidency, Hashemi has grown famous in the past 30 years as the 90th-minute
man.”
Himself a Principalist activist, Nejabat said "The
opposition websites have laid Hashemi a trap, saying all Reformists and Khatami
must in the upcoming elections turn around Hashemi as the hub, so that with
Hashemi in the presidentials, harmony is returned and the Reformists can appear
on the scene again and, on the other hand, the Principalists will unanimously attend
the elections.”
He added "Hashemi is an intelligent man. If he looses his
political memory he will have done a something dangerous.”
He added that Hashemi will meat a heavy defeat if ran for
presidency. "The time for Hashemi is over,” he asserted.
