TEHRAN, May 18, YJC - Iranian Deputy Interior Minister for Security Affairs Hossein Zolfaghari said the country has not faced any special security problem regarding the upcoming election so far.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) -"Although we have passed behind three phases of election (registration of the candidates, qualifying the candidates and campaign), we firmly announce that we have not had any special security problems,” he said.
The presidential election and election of members of the City and Village Councils would start on May 19 at 8:00 am local time, he said, adding the next phase is counting the votes and announcing the results for which special measures have been considered.
He also said from Thursday any poll in cyber space is against the law, adding any speculation on the victory runs counter to security and it would be dealt with.
