TEHRAN, May 15, YJC - Iran’s Armed Forces Spokesman says the US military and intelligence agencies are not capable of deeply understanding Iran’s defense power.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Iranian Deputy Armed Forces Chief of Staff Brig. Gen. Seyyed Massoud Jazayeri said on Monday that the US reports on Iran’s defense power are indicative of the country’s limited intelligence on Iran’s actual military might.
"of course it should be acknowledged that part of the country [Iran] defense power is overt to aliens and enemies, the US on top of them, thus has caused our enemies bewildered and our deterring power against any invasion” he noted.
General Jazayeri said that today the deterrence power of Islamic Republic of Iran is based on active deterrence in such a way that any aggressor is reduced to annihilation and surrender.
"It has been for years that the shadow of war and military attack on our country has gone away for our reaching to active deterrence power. Yet, this does not mean to stop advancements in defense areas, so the way will decisively be continued with regard to the devilish enemies existence,” he said.
Referring to public support as a significant factor in military empowerment of Iran, General Jazayeri said that Stability and peace in West Asia region depends on the outside powers’ exiting this vast, strategic territory.
He maintained that all instances of war and bloodshed in the region is the result of wrong policies of the US and Israeli regimes well as all corrupted and reactive governments.
"Yet, even if the Americans spend ten times more than that they already have spent for dominating the region, they will never be able to achieve their sinister goals,” he stressed.
