TEHRAN, May 7, YJC - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani cautioned the enemies that any act of aggression against the country will draw a “decisive and united” response, although Iran’s power is not a means of intimidation.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Speaking at a conference on local production and economy on Saturday
evening, President Rouhani underlined that Iran does not use its power
to intimidate others, but employs it as a means of friendship with the
world and neighbors.
Nevertheless, he added, anyone daring to
take aggressive and invasive measures will face Iran’s decisive,
integrated, and forceful reaction.
"Iran’s power and culture is (used) for peaceful coexistence with the neighboring and world countries,” the president noted.
Elsewhere
in his speech, Rouhani called for extensive plans to support the
country’s knowledge-based companies, highlighting the great benefits of
such firms in creation of new jobs.
He said the industries based
upon knowledge and information technology (IT) would provide plenty of
job opportunities for the country’s labor force.
He also
highlighted his administration’s support for the knowledge-based
companies over the past three years and a half, saying 3,000 firms have
received government funding which has resulted in creation of 100,000
jobs.
Iran has ramped up efforts in recent years to support local
knowledge-based companies by creating incentives for them, such as
low-interest loans.
The attention to technological industries
follows Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei’s
emphasis on the role of science as a means of power and development.
The Leader has always called for maintaining the pace of scientific growth in Iran despite enemies' efforts to undermine it.
