TEHRAN, May 6, YJC - Attending in a press conference on Saturday, the Iranian chairman of strategic research section of Expediency Council Ali Akbar Velayati explained about his meeting with the Germany’s Foreign Minister in Astana summit, assessed the visit as constructive with positive results.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Pointing out to the the numerous common grounds between the two countries, Velayati asserted "the two sides consider developing bilateral economic and political ties. We have always had and have good interactions upon regional and international issues, and believe that the problems of the region’s country should be solved with their territorial integrity protected”.
Velayati said that like Iranians, the Germans disagree with the breakdown of the region countries. He added that the problems have no military solution, but politically they must be solved, and that Iran and Germany have their collaboration on different grounds including the implementation of JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action).
"the international cooperation of the two countries will be continued with respect to JCPOA in UN and we consider Germany as a European trustworthy partner”.
With respect to the final statement of Astana meeting Velayati said that the trend of political negotiations done in Astana is of the most positive ones about Syrian crisis, yet any solution suggested by any side must be accepted by the Syrian nation and government.
