TEHRAN, May 3, YJC - The 30th edition of Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF) opened its door to bibliophiles with with publishers from 110 foreign countries in attendance.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The international event got started today on Wednesday morning under the motto of
"Let’s Read One More Book”.
The expo is held in Shahr-e-Aftab International Exhibition
Complex, a fairground situated in south of Tehran.
More than 400,000 titles are presented by over 2700 publishers
including 2,643 domestic and 139 foreign from 110 countries, in an area of
135,000 square meters.
This year, Italy is the special guest country of the book fair and Istanbul,
Turkey, is its guest city.
Yesterday on Tuesday, the Expo’s inauguration ceremony was held with the Iranian
Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani and Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance
Reza Salehi Amiri attended.
Tehran International Book Fair is annually held as a social and cultural
phenomenon with book displays, panel discussions and publishing deals.
