TEHRAN, April 30, YJC - Iran inaugurated Persian Gulf Star Refinery, located in southern part of the country, in a ceremony attended by President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday.

TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Iran has managed to obtain self-sufficiency with inaugurating the refinery, said Ebadollah Abdollahi, Commander of Khatamol-Anbia Airbase which has constructed the refinery.
 
Iran would join petrol exporters with inaugurating the second and third units of the refinery, he said, adding the complex has created jobs for 4.000 people.
 
Three phases of the refinery are overall capable of producing 360.000 barrels of condensates feed and producing 36 million liters of petrol daily.
 
The refinery feed is provided by gas refineries located in Asaluyeh, southern Iran.
 
Iran needs 59 million liters of gas daily, over 10 million liters if which is imported from abroad.
 
The first unit of the refinery can make 12.5 million liters of petrol daily.
 
It can also produce 14 million liters of light and heavy gasoil, 3 million liters jet fuel, hydrogen and sulfur.
