Iran, Pakistan discuss boosting bilateral ties

TEHRAN, April 22, YJC - Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif and Pakistani National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq discussed ways to expand bilateral ties between the two sides in all fields.

TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - "Bilateral ties between the two countries is much higher than normal diplomatic ties.
 
Hopefully, the two countries are enjoying good bilateral ties in all fields. We are ready to develop mutual relations in political, economic, security and parliamentary areas further,” Zarif said in the meeting here in Tehran.
 
Pakistan’s security is of considerable importance for the Islamic Republic of Iran, he added.
 
"We are ready to export power and gas to Pakistan. We also welcome Islamabad’s participation in development of Chabahar Port (southern Iran),” he added.
 
Ayaz Sadiq, for his part, said the two countries are enjoying common views on establishing peace and stability in the region and necessity of Islamic World Unity.
 
He also called on Iran to join Pakistan-China corridor.
 
The two sides stressed battle against terrorism and extremist groups.
