TEHRAN, April 5, YJC - In a telephone conversation on Tue., Iranian FM Zarif and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov called for implementation of agreements recently reached between the two sides.

Young Journalists Club (YJC) - According to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov spoke by phone with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif on April 4 at the latter’s initiative.
Zarif expressed his condolences for the tragic toll of the terrorist attack in the St Petersburg Metro and asked that his words of sympathy and support be conveyed to the families and friends of the victims.
The ministers also affirmed the intention to work on implementing the agreements reached at recent talks in Moscow between President Vladimir Putin and President of Iran Hassan Rouhani.
During President Rouhani’s visit to Moscow on March 28, the two presidents discussed a wide range of topics including Iran’s nuclear deal, unilateral sanctions, cyberattacks, situation in Afghanistan, Iraq’s territorial integrity, global energy balance, easing visa restrictions, and SCO membership, among many others.
The two sides signed as many as 14 cooperation documents in various political, economic, judicial, legal, scientific and cultural fields.
