TEHRAN, March 27, YJC - Iran has managed to obtain self-sufficiency in producing Expanded Polypropylene parts (EPP).
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - "We managed to meet Iran’s need to new product of polypropylene after two years,” said Managing Director of EPP Parts Production Factory Ahmad Mokhtar.The product is used in automotive interior design, dashboard, bumper, new packaging, pharmaceutical packaging, insulation products and bags.
The factory produces 500 tons of polypropylene products annually which cost one thirds of the expenses needed for their import.
The factory saves $50 million of the country’s annual revenue.
Only a few number of countries have managed to make the product so far.
