TEHRAN, March 15, YJC - Iran and China agreed on picking Iran as the special guest of Beijing 2017 Book Fair, said Deputy Director of the 30th Tehran International Book Fair Amir-Masoud Shahram-Nia.
In a meeting with Beijing Book Fair’s organizers, Shahram-Nia stressed Iran and China’s proper capacities for the expansion of cultural ties, adding Iran, being a special guest, has a suitable opportunity to expand cultural cooperation so the two countries’ publishers and writers can easily exchange their information and properly use of each other’s capacities.
Tehran and Beijing have very good economic relations, he noted.
Moreover, the two sides discussed about exchanging free stand with an area of 500 square meters between the two book fairs, and decided to sign the agreement during the 30th Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF) in May 2017.
