Tehran, YJC. Minister of Oil has said that the Iran will celebrate the independence of the oil industry soon.
Rostam Qasemi said "Today no oil product is imported to the
country and Iran will soon become the major exporter of oil products.”
Speaking at the inauguration of the 17th
International Oil, Gas, Refinery and Petrochemicals Fair, Qasemi said "Due to
lack of mastery over technologies we used to be very much dependent in the oil
industry. But in the recent years and especially tanks to the sanctions, we
will soon celebrate our independence.”
He added "Despite revenue problems in the last year, $30
billion was invested in the oil industry and many of the industry’s major
projects, including Shazand refinery, were made operational.”
