Iran’s Foreign Minister says ECO should show its being beneficial to its member-countries.
Iranian FM Mohammad Javad Zarif delivered a speech as the chairman of the 24th FM council of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
Zarif stated that ECO as a member-based organization will get success if and only if all of its members participate in it actively. "It is essential that all of the member countries take part in ECO activities and ECO also should approve that it serves the interests of all members” he said.
He continued that the member countries clearly call for the concentration of ECO on those plans that or of the most economic benefits for all of the members and the region. He further reminded that ECO should show its being beneficial to the country members and that the countries also should support it.
" We believe that ECO is the best choice for cooperation among the region’s countries. We believe that ECO-constructed regionalism not only strengthens the landscape of individual and collective economic development, but also extends the political and security relations of the members. We can enhance our capabilities through implementation of ECO cooperation and convergence plans in order to individually and collectively encounter challenges and reduce harms” Zarif said noting that Islamic Republic of Iran commits itself to continue supporting ECO.
Tomorrow, ECO summit meeting will be hold with Iran’s President attended.
