Iranian largest public-run carmaker (IKCO) deputy CEO in Export announced the company's plan of modernizing Kazakhstan taxi fleet, named Sunway.
"The negotiations regarding modernizing Kazakhstan taxi fleet which started last year is going to be put into action following the achievement of the Certificate EAC by IKCO; based on this contract 3000 sets of CNG-sipping Samand taxis will join this fleet," mentioned Saeid Tafazoli.
IKCO Deputy CEO added, "Compared to other carmakers competing in this market, IKCO has the advantage of producing CNG cars, however other carmakers present offline CNG cars."
In cooperation with IKCO dealership in the country, Sunway will give the cars to the taxi owners based on a three year repayment leasing contract.
Kazakhstan Taxi Organization is obliged to improve and modernize taxis every three years to follow the rules and regulations of the country's environment organization, aiming at reducing environment pollutants.
