Statistics of Iran’s trade with Turkmenistan over last 10 years show positive commercial exchanges between the two countries.
Iran-Turkmenistan trade balance remain positive in 10 years
The statistics belonging to 2006-2016 indicate Iran’s exports to the country has been considerably growing until 2015 and exports has outpaced imports since 2010 which led to Iran’s positive trade balance with the country.
 
However, Iran’s exports to the country lessened in 2016.
 
The tallies show that international sanctions have not overshadowed bilateral trading between the two countries that much.
 
Iran’s exports to Turkmenistan reached $141 million in 2006, $144 million in 2007, $178 million in 2008, $249 million in 2009, $346 million in 2010, $400 million in 2011, $526 million in 2012, $749 million in 2013, $859 million in 2014, $873 million in 2015 and $721 million in 2016.
 
Iran’s trade balance with Turkmenistan hit $314 million 2011, $478 million in 2012, $705 million in 2013, $782 million in 2014, $872 million in 2015 and $715 million in 2016.
