Iran and Pakistan discussed conferred on improving bilateral economic cooperation.
In a meeting between Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif and his Pakistani counterpart Sartaj Aziz, Zarif stressed boosting bilateral ties in power transfer, energy, banking and customs and speeding up implementation of joint projects.
He also referred to Rouhani’s recent visit to Oman and Kuwait and Iran is making efforts to make closer regional countries’ views in order to boost mutual understanding and settle regional crises. "We need exchanging views and improving mutual understanding to remove misunderstanding and tensions.”
Sartaj Aziz, for his part, said his country supports boosting mutual economic cooperation with Iran.
"Islamabad is making efforts to speed up joint projects with Iran.”
They also conferred on regional developments as well as confronting terrorist groups of the ISIL and al-Qaeda and developing trilateral cooperation between Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
